What to expect during your treatment

Our medical aesthetician will conduct a full skin analysis which includes medical history, current skin care routine & lifestyle questions to better understand your skin concerns as well as how to best approach your skin

The treatment itself will include some but not all of the below depending on the condition of your skin:

• 1-2 methods of cleansing

• 1-2 forms of exfoliation ie. physical, enzymatic or chemical without application of steam

• Extractions 

• Disinfection

• Lymphatic drainage massage

• LED therapy *included in all acne facials

• Custom multi-masking ie. clay, sulfur, brightening, jelly, hydrating, sheet
  

How should I prepare for this treatment?

• We recommend avoiding exfoliation the day of your treatment

• Arrive without makeup if possible

• Take a photo of all your existing skin care products

How many treatments will I need? How often should I receive a treatment?

Your skin is unique to you so depending on whether you are looking to correct a skin condition ie. acne, hyperpigmentation, rosacea, aging concerns or are focusing on maintenance, this will dictate how many sessions you require. For corrective treatments, you may need anywhere between 3-8 sessions spread 2-4 weeks apart

For maintenance, monthly facials or sessions performed between 4-6 weeks is ideal

How long is a typical treatment?

Your initial skin consultation will be ½ an hour and your service will be 1 hour and 15min. 
Subsequent sessions will be between 1 hour and 15min and 1 and a ½ hours

What can I expect post treatment?

Your skin will look and feel hydrated, clean and refreshed. With extractions, our medical aesthetician will work on calming inflammation during the masking portion of the treatment however it is normal to be a little pink or slightly swollen at the extraction site & this is temporary and will subside by the next day. 

You will be provided with a facial post care sheet so that you know exactly how to care for your skin in the following 24-48 hours

You will be guided through how to properly care for your skin at home with an appropriate skin care routine that is completely customized to your skin goals
