What to expect during your treatment

Our medical aesthetician will conduct a full skin analysis which includes medical history, current skin care routine & lifestyle questions to better understand your skin concerns. It is recommended that you pre-treat your skin for at least 2 weeks prior to starting this peel series with appropriate medical grade skincare as guided by our medical aesthetician to deliver optimal outcomes for treatment. Treatment will include application of the peel between 1-3 layers and instructions for peel duration along with post care.

Who is not a candidate for chemical peels?

• Clients on accutane or within 6 months of using Accutane

• Pregnant or breastfeeding clients

• Clients who have recently been tanned/sunburned 

• Clients using photosensitizing medications

• Clients with allergies to any of the ingredients in the solutions especially aspirin

• Clients with active bacterial, viral or inflammatory skin conditions ie. eczema, rosacea, cold sores, pink eye, psoriasis, other forms of dermatitis

• Clients with open wounds

• Clients undergoing treatment for cancer

• Clients with medical conditions ie. diabetes, cancer, lupus, heart conditions

• Clients who’ve undergone surgery to the face in the last 6 months

• Clients who’ve had facial hair removal in the last 72 hours

• Clients who’ve had a permanent makeup application within the last week

What does this chemical peel feel like?

Clients will experience mild to moderate tingling in the first 15 minutes of application and a gradual decline to subtle tingling with each additional layer applied. The scent of the peel resembles alcohol and our medical aesthetician will provide a fanning device to keep you cool and comfortable

How often should I do this peel?

Depending on your concern, clients should have this treatment performed every 2-3 weeks for 4-6 sessions. After your series, our medical aesthetician will recommend a brightening treatment plan consisting of a combination modality approach to enhance and maintain your results

What can I expect post treatment?

Your skin will have a flushed appearance immediately post peel.

You will be provided with a chemical peel post care sheet so that you know exactly how to care for your skin in the following 7 days. As noted before, during and after your treatment, you should expect to experience mild to moderate physical peeling of the skin and it is imperative to follow all post-care instructions detailed on the post-care sheet for optimal results
